About Me
Hello! My name is Paula and I am a senior at Mount Holyoke majoring in Mount Holyoke College.
I am a student technology consultant in the MEWS, (Mediated Educational Work Space) in the Williston Library where I help students, faculty and the college community with their media projects. I am an Environmental Studies major and my interests include hiking, reading and photography, especially in nature.
An example of work I am currently involved with is in the UMASS Renaissance Center in a cottage garden reenactment. Last semester I researched the 14th century cottage gardens and blogged about it:
How can I help?
This semester I am the technician in a Smith-Mount Holyoke videoconference math statistics course, but on Wednesdays I am available in my MEWS drop-in hours from 7pm-10pm.
During this time, I usually help students use their video cameras, import footage and edit on iMovie or FinalCut Pro. My other programs include Garageband, Audacity and Adobe Suite. If you have a specific project outside of our mentor drop-in hours, you can email the mentors and we would be happy to schedule an appointment with you.
